Free tools to optimize your images for SEO and performance
Every block below runs locally in your browser. No upload limits, no signup, no watermarks.
Compress Images
Shrink JPEG and WebP files by adjusting quality, with most images dropping 60 to 80 percent in size at settings that still look indistinguishable from the original.
Resize Dimensions
Set a maximum width or height. Aspect ratio is preserved, oversized images scale down, and smaller images are left alone.
Convert Formats
Convert between JPEG, PNG, and WebP. WebP typically delivers the smallest files at the same visual quality and is supported in every modern browser.
Strip Metadata
EXIF, GPS, and camera metadata are removed automatically when images are re-encoded. Smaller files and no accidental leaks of location data.
Rename Files
Replace camera filenames like IMG_4382.JPG with keyword-friendly names that help SEO. Batch renaming numbers each file automatically.
Batch Processing
Drop in a folder of images and download the entire optimized set as a ZIP. No per-file limits and nothing leaves your browser.
Image Optimization FAQs
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Every operation runs in your browser using local JavaScript and the Canvas API. Your images are never sent to our server or any third party. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool will still work.
What image formats are supported?
JPEG, PNG, and WebP for both input and output. HEIC, AVIF, RAW, and animated GIF are not supported in the browser. Convert those to JPEG or PNG first if you need to process them.
Convert images to WebP, JPEG, or PNG
The tool converts in any direction between JPEG, PNG, and WebP. The common use cases: convert PNG to WebP or JPEG to WebP to cut file size by 25 to 50 percent with no visible quality loss, convert PNG to JPEG when transparency is not needed and you want the smallest possible file, or convert WebP back to JPEG or PNG when you need compatibility with an older tool that does not support WebP. Pick the output format from the dropdown, drop your images, and download.
Can I compress images without losing visible quality?
Yes. JPEG and WebP both support adjustable quality. The default of 80 produces files that are visually indistinguishable from the originals on most photographs while cutting size by more than half. Drop to 60 to 70 for hero images that need to load fast.
How does image resizing work?
Set a maximum width or height in pixels. Each image is scaled down so its longest side fits within that limit, with aspect ratio preserved. Images already smaller than the limit are left untouched.
Does the tool strip EXIF and other metadata?
Yes, automatically. Re-encoding an image through the browser removes EXIF, GPS, IPTC, and XMP tags. You get smaller files and a privacy win on photos taken with a phone, which often embed exact GPS coordinates.
How does the rename feature work?
Leave the field blank to keep the original filenames. Enter a name like optimized-image with a single image and you get optimized-image.webp. Enter the same name with a batch of five and you get optimized-image-1.webp through optimized-image-5.webp. Keyword-rich filenames are a small but real SEO signal.
Can I optimize multiple images at once?
Yes. Drop in as many as you like. Each image is processed in sequence and you can download them individually or as a single ZIP file once the batch finishes.
How does image optimization help with SEO?
Smaller files load faster, which directly improves Core Web Vitals scores including LCP and INP. Faster pages rank better, convert better, and cost less to serve. Keyword-friendly filenames give Google an extra signal about what your image is.
Do I need to sign up or pay anything?
No accounts, no payments, no watermarks, and no limits on how many images you can process.
